Confucius Temple Cultural Area

This is the the first cultural area in Tainan, centered on Nanmen Rd. and extends to the south and north. From the first Confucius Temple a.k.a. “Taiwan’s First School”, to Pan Temple in Fuzhong St., Dehua Hall on Fuqien Rd., Tainan Great South Gate, Koxinga Shrine on Kaishen Rd. and Wufei Temple in Wufei St. The historic sites here are of different appearance and characteristics, each one offers different charm.
Green trees, red roof tiles and red wall form the basic impression of the confucius cultural area, where the elderly play chess, couples walk and children play, the laid-back atmosphere, made many people fell in love with this place at first sight.
